Tianjin New Medicine and Biomedical Industry Postdoctoral Innovation Consortium, jointly sponsored by Municipal People's Social Security Bureau, Tianjin University and Binhai New Area, was established yesterday. This is also the first postdoctoral innovation consortium in our city.

"The main purpose of creating the Consortium is to promote universities, research institutes and enterprises to build postdoctoral stations, innovate the collaborative training mechanism of talents, attract more outstanding postdocs at home and abroad, stimulate the vitality of talent innovation, consolidate the talent base of high-quality innovation and development in our city, and create a high-level young talent platform." According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal People's Social Security Bureau, the Consortium has adopted the organizational structure of "1 +1 + N", and built a training platform of " joint recruitment, joint cultivation, joint assessment and joint utilization " for postdoctoral talents, which is mainly built by Tianjin University, jointly built by Biomedical Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Consortium, meanwhile participated by postdoctoral stations of related disciplines and the Biomedical Talents Consortium.

According to introduction, the number of postdoctoral stations covered by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Consortium of New Medicine and Biomedical Talents has reached 20% of our whole city, which is an important gathering place and "reservoir" for high-level young talents in Tianjin. The establishment of the Consortium reflects the solid innovation foundation of biomedical industry in our city; at the same time, four collaborative co-construction methods of "joint recruitment, joint cultivation, joint assessment and joint utilization" are adopted; with 13 co-construction tasks, such as unified release of postdoctoral recruitment plan, co-construction of tutor directory, unified academic assessment, sharing of scientific research platform, and joint declaration of topics (projects). Member units choose to participate in one or more co-construction tasks as needs, which will form a win-win development trend of "1 +1 > 2". There are 72 postdoctoral research stations, workstations and innovative practice bases that joined the Consortium in the first batch, Tianjin University, Institute of Industrial Microbiology in Chinese Academy of Sciences, CansinoTech and other 30 university research institute and enterprise postdoctoral stations have formed an innovative consortium with postdoctoral talent training as a hub. The integration of talent chain, industrial chain, innovation chain and value chain will form an innovative ecosystem that convergences production, education and research, which will effectively drive the biomedical industry to gather and accelerate its development in Tianjin and enhance the academic discipline influence of our New Medicine.
