March 17, 2021, to accelerate the preparations for the 5th World Intelligence Congress and enhance the diversity and interest of the series of compitions and intelligence experiences, the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee organized a preparatory meeting in Tianjin.

The 5th World Intelligence Congress will be held in Tianjin from May 20 to 23, 2021. This congress will bring an innovative "online + offline" mode, with a series of events such as conferences, exhibitions, competitions, intelligence experiences and interactive exchanges, forming a quaternity international grand gathering of "conference, exhibition, competition + intelligence experience".

The Fifth World Intelligence Congress will be held in Tianjin in May 2021, and all preparations for the conference have now been fully launched. The secretariat of the conference organizing committee organized a special conference on January 14th to organize a preparatory meeting for the parallel forums at WIC. Relevant persons who are in charge of 21 escalation plans from relevant municipal commissions, district governments, universities, institutions, and enterprises attended the meeting.

Since 2017, Tianjin has taken the lead in raising the banner of the development of the intelligent technology industry and has successfully held World Intelligent Congress for four consecutive years. The conference will invite the world's most influential academic authorities, industry elites, international institutions, and professional media in the field of intelligent technology to attend and discuss the development trend of the world's intelligent technology industry, seek more extensive exchanges and cooperation. The conference will hold a series of online and offline activities such as opening and closing ceremonies, summits, parallel forums, intelligent technology exhibitions, competitions, and intelligent experiences.

The World Intelligence Congress is approved by the Chinese government and is organized by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Radio and Television Administration, State Internet Information Office, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chinese Association for Science and Technology and Tianjin Municipal People’s Government.

On March 4, 2021, the Secretariat of the Conference Organizing Committee organized the parallel forum preparatory meeting. This meeting is to accelerate the progress of the preparations for WIC 2021 and improve the quality, level, and scale of the parallel forums of this conference.

A few days ago, the Fifth World Intelligence Congress mobilization meeting was held in Tianjin. Wang Weidong, deputy mayor of Tianjin and deputy director of the Organizing Committee of the Fifth World Intelligence Congress, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhu Yubing, deputy secretary-general of the municipal government, attended the meeting. A total of 26 relevant commissions, bureaus, and district governments in Tianjin participated in this meeting.
